How to calculate star rating for stores on the Delivery K app

Formula: Average number of stars = Total number of stars / Total number of reviews

For example:

When there are total of 20 reviews:

• Ten 5-star reviews
• Five 4-star reviews
• Two 3-star reviews
• Two 2-star reviews
• One 1-star reviews

The total number of stars is: (5*10) + (4*5) + (3*2) + (2*2) + (1*1) = 81 stars

So, the average number of stars is: 81/20 = 4.05 stars

*For stores with fewer than 100 reviews, each store response to a customer review will be considered a 5-star review and counted toward the store’s average star review.

For example:

• Number of 5-star reviews is 5 votes
• Number of 4-star reviews is 4 votes
• Number of 3-star reviews is 3 votes
• Number of 2-star reviews is 2 votes
• Number of 1-star reviews is 1 vote

The total number of reviews is 25 votes

The store owner responded to customer reviews: 10 times

The total number of stars is (5*5) + (4*4) + (3*3) + (2*2) + (1*1) + (5*10) = 105 stars

So, the average number of stars is 105/25 = 4.2 stars

⚠️Important Note⚠️: After the store reaches over 100 reviews, the store’s response to a review will not be calculated into the average number of stars. The average number of stars will be calculated based on the total number of actual customer reviews.
